LITTLE VETERINARIAN SCHOOL - HORSE

LITTLE DOCTOR SCHOOL Through role-play and activities, students will learn the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and digestion. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing and tying knots like a real surgeon. Age: 6-10 R/NR: $158/$188 Location: Lincoln Center Class # Date Day Time 4270L01-01 10/9 - 11/13 W 6:45-7:45pm GLITZY GIRLZ: WE LOVE POP STARS DANCE NIGHT Do you love Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and all the cool pop stars filling our playlist? Come join Glitzy Girlz for a night of fun and bring your pals! Our staff will be doing hair makeovers with hair color chalk, sparkle face gem and nail polish on each child. The participants will decorate a Pop Star photo frame and have the opportunity to get a photo in front of our Taylor Swift/ Pop Star photo backdrops and fun photo booth props to accessorize. They will also design a cool bracelet with music-related charms. Our staff leads a finale of a dance party with a playlist of female pop stars with disco lights. Take home a “glitter” sparkle microphone as a memory of this fun class! Parents, make sure you bring your phone to take your child’s photograph! This class takes place at the Woodridge Park District, Fred C Hohnke Community Center, 2600 Center Dr., Woodridge. This is a drop off class. Students will adopt and name their plush horse and learn the anatomy and maintenance of a horse. They will also learn basic horse nutrition, riding styles, gaits and role-play and basic key responsibilities of an equine veterinarian. Age: 6-10 R/NR: $179/$209 Location: Lincoln Center Class # Date Day Time 4270L02-01 10/9 - 11/13 W 5:30-6:30pm LITTLE VETERINARIAN SCHOOL - CAT Students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and perform a whiskers-to-tail exam on their newly “adopted” plush cat. These future veterinarians will learn about animal body language, maintaining a healthy environment such as proper litterbox placement, create a cat toy, and design a vet clinic. Age: 6-10 R/NR: $186/$216 Location: Lincoln Center Class # Date Day Time 4270L03-01 10/9 - 11/13 W 4:15-5:15pm
