DANCE PROGRAMS

CREATIVEMOVEMENT Creative movement, music education, dance, mime, ballet, jazz, tap, gymnastics and performance are encouraged in this class. Children gain confidence, rhythm, better coordination, balance and memory. No class July 4, 11 and 12. Each class will also include stretches, warm-ups, exercises encouraging strength, balance and endurance, and the practice of simple tumbling skills. Through trusting others, your child will experience the fun and importance of being part of a team. Class attire: Loose clothing and clean gym shoes. No class July 4, 9 and 11. DANCE KIDS USA The following classes are taught by and under the direction of Michelle Dawson of Dance Kids USA. PARENT-TOTDANCE Interact with other parents and tots through song and dance! Develop balance, increase body awareness, improve listening and gross motor skills and of course, have fun! Fee includes one parent and one child. No class July 12. Age: 2-3.5 R/NR: $72/102 Location: Lincoln Center Instructor: Michelle Dawson Class # Date Day Time 3162A17-01 6/7 - 8/2 F 10:45-11:15am PARENT-TOTBALLET Dance alongside your child as you together learn basic ballet technique and terminology. Stretches, games, and movements across the floor will be performed as well in this fun introductory class! Fee includes one child and one adult; each child must be accompanied by an adult. No class July 12. Age: 2.5-3.5 R/NR: $72/$102 Location: Lincoln Center Instructor: Michelle Dawson Class # Date Day Time 3162A20-01 6/7 - 8/2 F 10:15-10:45am MYFIRSTFAIRYTALE BALLET Encourage your tiny dancer in their first (or second!) independent ballet class in a comfortable atmosphere where they will listen and dance to familiar music. Ballet terminology and movements will be taught at the barre and in center. Each session the participants will learn a new dance. Caregivers are welcome to stay inside the dance room or remain in the hall. No class July 9 and 12.
