ATLYMANWOODS Nature Birthday Parties

THEMES WILDLIFE DETECTIVES | ALL AGES Wild birthday parties at Lyman Woods include fun outdoor adventures, led by a naturalist, as well as personal time for opening gifts and eating cake. Parties will take place at the picnic area outdoors during good weather and will be moved inside the Interpretive Center during colder months. Registration is required at least 3 weeks in advance. Grab a magnifying glass and search the trails for hints of wildlife! Get hands-on with pelts and skulls, and identify tracks, scat and other animal signs. CREATURE FEATURE | ALL AGES Have a favorite animal that calls Lyman Woods home? Let us know and we will create a birthday party just for you! Parties will include awesome animal facts, a themed game, and craft. Examples of animals to choose from include: deer, coyotes, snakes, owls, turtles, and more! HABITAT HUNTERS (APRIL-OCTOBER) | ALL AGES Who lives here? Go on a scavenger hunt and test your map-reading skills as you search for different homes Check out Lyman Woods after dark! Explore sounds in the night, stars in the sky, and search for signs of nocturnal animals. WILDERNESS SKILLS | 1ST GRADE & UP Discover what it takes to survive in the wilderness! Join us in the Wild Woods as we teach you survival skills like fort building, knot tying and how to build a fire! ARCHERY* (APRIL – SEPT) | 4TH GRADE & UP Aim for fun! Learn archery basics and shooting safety, then hit the range for target practice using compound bows. All archery materials and equipment provided. Party limited to 15 participants 8 years and up. *All Archery Birthday Party participants must also have a high-risk waiver signed by a parent/guardian before participating in archery activities. NATURE SPA PARTY* | 3RD GRADE & UP Let us help you create some amazing natural spa products! Work with a naturalist to create your own signature scent and a few other fun and creative spa experiences. Party limited to 15 participants. and habitats throughout Lyman Woods. NATURE AT NIGHT | 1ST GRADE & UP

PARTY INCLUDES: Party time is 2 hours (1 hour of instructor-led time, 1 hour of personal time) 15 children/participants (including the birthday child and siblings) Table coverings and reusable dishes (for children) 1-2 instructors to lead games and program activities

EXTEND YOUR PARTY WITH SPECIAL ADD-ON FEATURES FOR $55 EACH:

Campfire with S’mores (roasting forks, campfire, s’mores ingredients included. Vegan, Kosher and Halal options available.) Lawn Games (parachutes, giant jenga blocks, bag games, hula hoops) Party Lights (in the Picnic Area or Side Porches)

EXTEND YOUR PARTY WITH EXTRA TIME: Extra 30 minute instructor-led time: $45 Extra 30 minute personal time: $30

ADDITIONAL PARTICIPANTS: Additional Children/Participants: $10/child 40 Person Maximum: $14 fee per person (child or adult) over 40.

Registration is required at least 3 weeks in advance. Party planning begins upon full payment. Go to dgparks.org for more information or call 630.963.9388. Begin the booking process by completing an online birthday request form for parties at dgparks.org. Party times: Fridays between 4pm-7pm; Saturdays 11am-1pm, 2-4pm, and 5-7pm; Sundays 12-2pm; 3-5pm. Times may be adjusted based on current programs.

*These parties include a 1.5hr instructor-led program, have a party limit of 15 children maximum, and start at $215.
