WILDERNESS MEDICINE Students will learn to tackle wilderness challenges like insect stings, and snake bites, boosting their outdoor confidence in skills such as preparing for a hike, identifying animal tracks, and wildlife encounters. They’ll also gain essential survival techniques, including splint setting, tourniquet application, hypothermia management, and versatile uses of a bandana for emergencies. Our staff will be pampering and teaching participants how to do mini manicures and mini pedicures with a beautiful nail polish selection and nail stickers. We will have relaxation time with a nourishing under eye mask and make a fun charm bracelet to accessorize your wardrobe and take home. A foot/nail brush and mini buffer is part of take home along with a pretty satin Organza bag filled with goodies! Sign up with friends for “sleep-under” fun! This is a drop-off, independent class. Parents will not stay in class. This class takes place at the Woodridge Park District Fred C Hohnke Community Center 2600 Center Dr., Woodridge. KIDS NINJA WARRIOR Welcome to Ultimate Ninjas! Working off an integrated curriculum divided into age-appropriate groups, this class is great for both beginners and advanced participants. Each class is structured to provide progressive growth over the course of the session, and each set of obstacles and circuits are aimed at providing a foundation of strength, agility, and balance. These classes are very active—you will not stop moving and leave both gassed and proud! Our mission is to strive to have all achieve and be fulfilled and grow in perseverance, athleticism and confidence—and have fun doing it! Classes take place at Ultimate Ninjas located at 684 W. Lake St. in Elmhurst. No classes on Oct. 10 to 13 and Nov. 26 to 28.
