DANCE PROGRAMS
Recital Prep Dance (Fall Session) This 13-week session does not include a recital but serves as a foundation for the 2026 Winter/Spring Recital Season. Dancers build skills, confidence, and technique—and are encouraged to continue into the recital session. Registration for the Winter/Spring Recital Season opens in November 2025.
BALLET/HIP HOP COMBO: A fun, energet ic combo class that introduces dancers to the grace of ballet and the rhythm of hip hop. Dancers build coordi nation, musicality, and confidence while exploring two unique styles in one engaging class. BALLET: The foundation to all dance styles. Progress is made gradually requiring repetition of basics at barre and center with an introduction of new steps to develop flexibility, strength, correct body alignment, technique and musicality at all levels. JAZZ: A type of dance shared by a broad range of dance styles. Traditional, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre and pop styles of dance are all incorporated into our jazz program. Jazz dance is an upbeat, dynamic and challenging class for all ages. POMS: Pom dance is a high-energy style combining jazz, hip-hop, and cheer moves using pom-poms to enhance sharp motions, team spirit, and visual impact through synchronized leaps, kicks and spins. MODERN/CONTEMPORARY: Grounded in the modern technique of Lester Horton, dancers will be guid ed to see the multitude of connections between Horton and other dance techniques.
MUSICAL THEATRE: This form of theatrical performance combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. In this class, you will learn how to interpret a musical story with emotional content through animation, dance, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole. HIP HOP: A fast-paced, energetic style that focuses on rhythm, musicality and personal expression. Dancers learn age-appropriate choreography inspired by street dance, breaking and commercial moves in a fun, upbeat environment. BALLET/TAP COMBO: An upbeat introduction to both ballet and tap! Dancers learn graceful ballet move ments and lively tap rhythms while building coordination, balance and musicality—all in one fun and interactive class. POINTE (BEGINNER): Designed for dancers new to pointe work. This class focuses on ankle strength, alignment, and proper technique to safely transition from ballet to pointe in a supportive and structured environ ment. Ballet experience required.
