THE BIG DILL PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT Join us for an exhilarating day of fast-paced action at our annual Pickleball Tournament, The Big Dill! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the game, this special event promises to have thrilling matches, friendly competition, and an unforgettable experience for all. All games will be played as doubles. Players must include their pickleball player rating with their registration as well as their partner’s rating. Only one player should register both players on the doubles team. All games self-officiated. Tournament will be round robin with playoffs for top teams (depending on the number of entries per division). Park District staff reserve the right to combine or make changes to the tournament format in order to enhance the tournament experience. Grab your paddles and get ready to compete your way to victory! Registration includes a Big Dill T-shirt and awards granted to top players/teams.

FISHING DERBY Reel in three hours of family fun at the annual Fishing Derby. This is a free event, but registration is required at dgparks.org. Longest and shortest fish in each age group will have a winner! All ties will be determined by a random drawing. Each participant must be registered to be eligible for prizes. Participants may only win one prize. Children younger than 11 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All participants 16 years of age or older are required to have a valid fishing license in order to participate. Fishing licenses may be purchased online at www.ifishillinois.org. COMBINE DAY Kick off the Fall Flag Football season and test your skills at the Downers Grove Park District’s Flag Football Combine Day! SUMMER CAMP

CAMP REGISTRATION New for 2025, Resident registration for summer camps will begin at 9am on Tuesday, March 11. This is a separate registration date from all other summer programs. Resident registration for all other summer programs will begin at 9am on Thursday, March 13. Non-resident registration for camps and programs will begin on Tuesday, March 18. CAMP WAITLISTS Waitlists will not be available for Traditional Full-day Camps. This includes Early Childhood camps, Kinder Camp, Adventure Camps, Teen Trekkers, Nature and Museum Camps. Check online regularly for openings in your preferred camp. CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY Please refer to the website for the full camp cancellation/refund policy. Self-cancellation prior to the cancellation deadline can be done online through your account or you can visit dgparks.org/request-a-refund to complete a refund form Cancellation requests must be received at least 5 days before the camp start date. Withdrawals made before May 15 will incur a $5 service fee per participant, per camp. Withdrawals made on or after May 15 will incur a $10 service fee per participant, per camp. Cancellations made less than 5 days before the camp start date will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Any refund granted will be subject to applicable service fees and late cancellation fees. PARENT COMMUNICATION Parents will receive a “Welcome to Camp” email by May 21, with information including what to wear to camp, what to bring to camp and camp procedures. Following the initial “Welcome to Camp” email, each camp will be emailed no later than the Friday prior to each session with specific camp information for the upcoming week.

FULL-DAY CAMP PAYMENT PLAN A payment plan is available and will be automatically applied for camp enrollments made before April 11. Enrollments after April 11 must be paid in full. Upon registration, you will pay a $20 deposit for each week of camp. This deposit is applied to your monthly payment. The remainder of the fees will be processed automatically on the dates below using the credit card you used when enrolling in each session. Your camp balance split between 2 monthly payments on April 15 and May 15. Before care and Kinder Camp after care must be paid in full at registration and are not part of the payment plan. In an effort to provide recreation, health and wellness opportunities to all residents, including those who are experiencing financial hardships or are foster parents, the Downers Grove Park District has established a Financial Assistance Program. Participants must reside within the boundaries of the Downers Grove Park District to be eligible. For eligibility requirements or to donate to the Financial Assistance Program, please visit www.dgparks.org/financial-assistance-program. CAMPER INFORMATION/ EMERGENCY FORMS The Downers Grove Park District uses ePACT for camper information and emergency forms. Returning families will receive an email to confirm their ePACT account details. New families will get an email from ePACT to set up an account and complete their camper’s forms. All forms must be completed before camp starts; campers cannot attend without them. FRIEND REQUESTS The Downers Grove Park District will not be accepting friend requests for camp groups. Campers will be split into groups based on enrollment numbers, grade level and age. 9 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

BEFORE & AFTER CAMP BEFORE CAMP: Available only for Kinder Camp, Adventure Camps, Teen Trekkers and All-Day Nature Camps (including Teen Wilderness Explorers). Held at the Lincoln Center for all eligible camps for an additional fee. Pre-registration is required. Campers attending camps not located at the Lincoln Center will be transported by bus from the Lincoln Center to their camp location. AFTER CAMP: Included in full-day camp hours (4:00 to 5:30pm) for the following camps at their respective camp locations: Adventure Camp 1st-2nd Grade (after camp located at Lincoln Center) Adventure Camp 3rd-5th Grade (after camp located at Recreation Center) Teen Trekkers (after camp located at Recreation Center)

KINDER CAMP Designed for children entering Kindergarten in the fall, Kinder Camp is a safe, structured and interactive environment to introduce campers to a full day away from home. Each week’s different themes (such as All About Me, Disney, and Community Helpers) will engage campers each day through crafts, songs, group activities and outside play time. Campers will also enjoy a trip to Sea Lion Aquatic Park’s Splash Playground or a field trip each week (trips to Sea Lion will be every other week). Fee includes admission to field trips and a camp T-shirt to wear on field trip days. No camp June 19 and July 4. PEE WEE CAMP Is your little one ready to begin their journey into independence? Pee Wee Camp is crafted to support young children in transitioning to a structured program, perfect for those getting ready to attend preschool in the fall! Our nurturing environment encourages independence and socialization. The camp day incorporates creative expression, circle time and motor skill development to prepare your child for their upcoming classroom adventures. Pull-Ups/training pants are permitted for campers who are working on potty training skills. Staff are not permitted to change campers, so a trusted adult must be available if needed. A kid-sized town complete with buildings, street signs and sidewalks provides an environment where children learn pedestrian, passenger and at-home safety. Campers will also be visited by a school bus and the fire department, while learning bike, bus and fire safety lessons. On the last day of each session, parents are invited to join us for a graduation ceremony! Would you like to spend your summer discovering amazing natural areas in the Chicago region, giving back to the environment, and building new skills? If so, then join our Teen Wilderness Explorers! A couple days a week, we’ll explore the wild areas around our base camp at Gilbert Park/Maple Grove Forest Preserve, then spend the rest of the week traveling to different natural areas around the region. One day of adventuring will be our highlighted field trip (details below) and will include a special featured skill or activity for that field trip. WILD CHILD NATUREPLAY CAMP

Bring out your child’s wild side and meet new friends during our parent-toddler camp!
