FENCING Fencing is the Olympic sport of swordplay. You always thought fencing scenes in movies were exciting, now you can try it too! Fencing is an excellent sport for children and adults. It combines coordination of relaxed and explosive moves, and critical thinking between attack and defensive strategies. Your local fencing location is your next step. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children. Skill level of fencers will be managed by coach. Participants must rent or own their equipment. TENNIS Classes will consist of teaching fundamentals of tennis and them playing fun games and modified games using the fundamental principles of tennis that were taught. New and returning students welcome; no previous knowledge of tennis is necessary. Our focus is to take each individual student’s skills to the next level under the guidance of an experienced coach. Prizes will be given. In case of inclement weather, please check Weather Updates on the DGPD website www.dgparks.org. Make-up classes due to inclement weather will be held on Fridays. No refunds will be given if you are unable to attend the make-up. No class June 19 or July 5.
