YOUTH LEAGUES

2025 SUMMER YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE Girls and boys in grades 3 through 8 can get in the game with our summer league! The league consists of two weeks of practice followed by six games with an emphasis on game play, participation and fun.

TEAM ASSIGNMENT NOTE New teams are created each season according to the following criteria: 1. School attended 2. Grade (based on the previous 2024-2025 school year) 3. Mutual Friend Request* 4. Balance of Gender 5. Roster Size *A non-mutual friend request or coach request will not be guaranteed. In general, our goal is to keep players from the same school on the same team. Should enrollment numbers and roster maximums not accommodate this practice, schools may be combined to form teams. Team maximums are based on enrollment numbers at the time of the registration deadline. Leagues may be combined or split by gender depending on enrollment numbers at the registration deadline. REGISTRATION INFORMATION Registration Begins: March 17 Registration Deadline: May 19 Each season new teams are formed and grouped as specified below. Returning players are not guaranteed the same team from season to season. Leagues may be combined or split by gender depending on enrollment numbers at the registration deadline. League Cancellation Policy: All cancellation requests received prior to the first game will be assessed a $5 service fee. No refunds issued once games begin.

JERSEY INFORMATION Jersey will need to be purchased if participant did not play in the Fall 2024 season or Winter 2025 season Jerseys can be purchased on the online webstore linked on our website - https://www.dgparks.org/ youth-basketball. Jerseys will be shipped directly to your house. PRACTICE & GAME INFORMATION Practices Begin: June 4 Games Begin: June 18 Teams will practice the first two Wednesday evenings, then will play a game each Wednesday evening for the remaining weeks of the season. All practices and games are held at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road between the hours of 6:30-9:30pm.
