ICE SKATING

PARENT / TOT (AGES 2 TO 5) The Parent/Tot class is a great way to introduce your tot to the ice while being able to skate with them! They will learn to stand and support themselves on the ice, fall down and get back up, and skate through fun games and activities. TOTS (AGES 4 TO 5) Tots is an introductory class designed for children ages 4 to 5 with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the basic skills of skating. These classes are designed to help children develop the ABCs of movement—Agility, Balance, Coordination, and speed. All classes are taught by incorporating the introduction and development of skills through professional instruction in a fun, safe and positive environment.

TEEN & ADULT CLASS (AGES 13+) Seven Bridges Ice Arena offers Adult skating classes as a part of our Skate School. The Adult class is “at your own pace” and is perfect for beginners, continuing adult skaters, or skaters who are returning to the ice after years of hiatus. All participants are required to have a Learn to Skate USA annual membership. LITTLE HOCKEY 1 - 3 (AGES 3 TO 5) These classes are designed to help children develop the ABCs of movement - Agility, Balance, Coordination, and speed. All classes are taught by incorporating the introduction and development of skills through professional instruction in a fun, safe and positive environment. BEGINNER HOCKEY 1 & 2 (AGES 6 TO 12) These levels teach the fundamentals of skating and provide the best foundation for figure skating and hockey. Skaters will learn and master forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers and turns. All classes are well-structured with a focus on proper skill development and mastery through professional instruction in a fun, safe, social and positive environment.

PRE-REQUISITES: Tot 1: No previous organized instruction or experience

Tot 2: Must have passed Tot 1 Tot 3: Must have passed Tot 2 Tot 4: Must have passed Tot 3

BASIC 1 - 5 (AGES 6 TO 12) The Basic Skills levels teach the fundamentals of skating and provide the best foundation for figure skating and hockey. Skaters will learn and master forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers and turns. These levels are essential for skaters to advance to spins and jumps. PRE-REQUISITES: Basic 2-5 classes require a Learn to Skate USA membership.
