Halloween Parade Start celebrating early with a Halloween filled adventure! Come dressed to impress in your costumes to enter our costume contest. Drop in anytime to learn about spooky animals while you trick or treat down our haunted trail encountering obstacles and challenges along the way. Create a Halloween craft, try some yummy snacks, and spend some time with our resident animals. Close out the day around a campfire with s’mores. The best family costume could win a private meet and greet with one of our animals! Fee is per child, an adult must accompany their child(ren) during this program. Infant siblings under 24 months are welcome to attend but do not need to register. Raccoon Pizza Party Everybody loves pizza! Even our raccoons! Help us plan a super-secret “pizza” party for our rascally raccoon neighbors. We’ll have all the special party extras: decorations, costumes, party favors, and, of course, a giant special “pizza pie” fit for nature’s bandits! While we plan and prepare, we’ll learn a bit about raccoons, play some raccoon and pizza-inspired games, and close out our evening of fun with some homemade pizza pockets and other yummy treats around the campfire. This is a youth drop-off, youth-only program. In this Mondays-only after school program, children will explore the great outdoors, go on hikes, do crafts, see animals and play in our wild woods. Staff will facilitate exploration and play, but the kids will decide what they want to explore each session! Each day is a new adventure entirely up to them! This program takes place entirely outside with the exception of extreme/severe weather. Transportation is not provided to or from Nature Connections. Sessions are per month. Program will not meet on District 58 days-off school. Mondays are longer sessions due to District 58’s early school dismissal.
