Intro to Sewing Join us on an exciting journey into the world of sewing! In this class, you’ll learn how to use a sewing machine, sew simple stitches, and create cool projects like cozy pillowcases or colorful bags. With easy-to-follow instructions and lots of hands-on practice, you’ll be making your own creations in no time! This class is designed for an adult and child to work together as a team to discover the satisfying and fun art of sewing. Together you will learn sewing machine terminology, how to thread a machine, and install a bobbin. You’ll have plenty of time to practice perfecting your first stitches and each pair will create a beginner friendly project to take home. Fee includes one child and one adult. Slime Time! Get ready for a night of gooey, messy fun! Each slime class will be packed with interactive and entertaining themed activities. At the end of the night, your child will leave with their own batch of slime and the title of Slime Master! This half-day camp is perfect for beginners as well as experienced players. Each day of camp will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time, allowing the students to play against one another while being coached by an experienced instructor. The camp session will conclude with a non-elimination tournament. This class will take place at Darien Park District Community Center, 7301 Fairview Ave., Darien.
