Family Fishing Fun! Interested in taking your family fishing but don’t know where to start? Join us at Patriots Park for this fun fishing class! You’ll learn about the parts of the pole, how to safely cast, bait, and reel in a rod, and hopefully catch some fish in the process! Bait and fishing rods will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Fee is for adult/child pair, please register each child attending. Learn about the state endangered Greater Prairie Chicken while partaking in feathered crafts, a Prairie Chicken dance-off, a special egg hunt, and, of course, some bowling! There will be prizes for the games and opportunities to learn how you can help support Prairie Chicken conservation in Illinois.
