Nature at Night Hikes Discover a new world of mysteries during a hike in the nighttime forest! We’ll explore seasonal changes, nocturnal critters, fascinating phenomena, and learn about a special featured creature while we trek through the woods. To top off the evening, we’ll settle around the campfire for some delicious s’mores! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Please register everyone attending. Campfire Cooking Looking for a fun way to dine out with your family? Join us each month for our campfire cooking class! Each class will focus on a different dish. We’ll walk you through the ingredients and materials needed for your fire, prep, and cooking! This class is open to all ages, but each person needs to sign up so we have enough yummy materials! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Please register everyone 5 and older attending. Led by one of our expert birders, we’ll hike through oak savanna, prairie and wetlands to discover both year-round and migratory birds found in the Chicago Region. Each program will highlight special topics in birding and ornithology. Great for those interested in birds or photography! Please register everyone attending.
