Join us for either a special Valentine’s-themed Lunch and Learn to celebrate the iconic couples and dynamic duos in Downers Grove history, or bring your lunch and celebrate Women’s History Month by discovering the inspiring stories and achievements of some of Downers
New! New Year, New Home and a Newly Dead Wife? Who Killed Matilda Mallon? An unexpected plot, a family feud, untrustworthy friends and a missing pet, but how is this related to what happened to Matilda? Join us at the Downers Grove Museum to see if you can solve a murder!

The Blodgetts and the Underground Railroad

Take a tour of the newly restored 1846 Blodgett House. We will explore the lives of Israel and Avis Blodgett, and their role on the Underground Railroad. Please register everyone attending. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Onsite Group Programs Bring your group to the Downers Grove Museum! Programs and tours are 1 hour in length and can be tailored for adult and kid groups. Call 630.963.1309 for details and to book your program or tour today! Group Tours During your guided tour, you’ll visit the foot print of the Blodgett family cabin, discuss the 1850s, visit the Pioneer Blodgett House, and learn about the 1890s inside of the Victorian Blodgett House. SCHOOL TOURS: $62 per class per 1-1.5 hour tour GROUP TOURS: $35 for up to 10 people Visit dgparks.org for more info
