Winter High School Basketball League

Our High School Basketball League is for players who want to participate in a traditional open-paced league. Each team plays an eight-game season followed by an end of the season tournament. League play is governed by IHSA rules and regulations with local exceptions adopted. Refunds are not available once teams have been formed and finalized. REGISTRATION & LEAGUE INFORMATION ƒ Registration Begins: Nov. 4 at 9:00am ƒ Registration Deadline: Dec 18, 2025 ƒ Games Begin: Jan. 8 and go no later than March 12 ƒ Games are played on Thursdays at the Cathy Mahoney Recreation Center between 6:30-10:30pm. ƒ League consists of eight regular season games followed by an end of the season tournament. ƒ Rosters will be no more than 10 to 12 players per team. REGISTRATION STEPS ƒ All players must complete a Registration Form and pay their individual League Fee. ƒ If you have a formed team of friends, please have all team member list the same “Team Captain” as their friend request. ƒ If a formed team has less than a full roster of 12 players, individual players without a friend request may be added onto existing teams. Our goal is to keep teams grouped together based on the school the player attends. ƒ Any player who plays on their high school basketball team cannot participate in the Downers Grove Park District High School Basketball League. Once the season begins, all Team Rosters and IDs will be checked each week before games. JERSEY INFORMATION All players will receive a jersey with their registration fee. Jerseys will be distributed to players by their first scheduled game.
