Sourdough Bread - Beginner Basics Demonstration Class Let’s demystify the sourdough bread making process and give you the confidence to start baking sourdough bread at home! In this demonstration class we’ll learn how to maintain a sourdough starter, mix a basic sourdough bread at home, properly shape, score and bake a rustic boule (round) and utilize your sourdough “discard.” During class we’ll enjoy charcuterie, fresh baked sourdough bread and sourdough discard cookies. Students will take home fresh sourdough starter, recipes and suggestions for online and cookbook resources. You’ll use words, images, collage, and other techniques to reflect on memories, capture the present moment, and look forward to the future. Whether you’re new to journaling or a lifelong diary keeper, this class promises to inspire. No art skills required. Fee includes instruction, a mixed media sketchbook, and art supplies to use during class. All returning and new players are welcome to attend the game/card group of their choice or multiple groups each week. No previous experience necessary! Coffee and/or refreshments will not be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own coffee/non alcoholic beverage. All games/activities are self led, but supplies are provided.
