LITTLEVETERINARIAN SCHOOL– DOGCAMP

SPORT CAMPS ALL STAR SPORTS MULTI-SPORTS CAMP

Camp participants will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and learn how to care for a dog. These future veterinarians will learn how to remove ticks, perform a nose-to-tail exam, understand proper animal nutrition and hydration, suture lacerations and more! This camp is for the all-around athlete or for someone who wants to try it all. Sports like soccer, basketball, hockey, football, and baseball will be taught in detail. Also we will play dodgeball, volleyball and a little golf. The main focal point of this camp is teamwork and sportsmanship. Each sport is covered in a way so that every participant can contribute to his or her team’s success. This camp is not about winning or losing, it’s about having fun and learning. Equipment: Changes daily with each sport. In case of inclement weather, All Star Sports class locations may change. Please call the hotline number at 630.584.2961 no earlier than 30 minutes before the start time of the class. Participants will not be notified. Camp participants will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and learn how to care for a cat. These future veterinarians will learn how to remove ticks, perform a nose-to-tail exam, understand proper animal nutrition and hydration, suture lacerations, and more! Age: 6-10 R/NR: $308/$338 Location: Lincoln Center Instructor: Little Medical School Class # Date Day Time 3270L03-01 8/5 - 8/9 M-F 9:00am-12:00pm SPORTSMEDICINE CAMP Students will explore the roles of an athletic trainer and orthopedic surgeon and learn how to diagnose and treat common sports injuries such as sprains, strains, and athlete’s foot. These future healthcare professionals will explore the famous Tommy John (arm and elbow) surgery and make models of a hand, joint and tendon.
