2024 SUMMERYOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE

NEW JERSEY INFORMATION Jerseys from Fall 2023 or Winter 2024 seasons of DGPD Youth Basketball can be worn for this Summer 2024 season Any player without a jersey from Fall 2023 or Winter 2024 must purchase a jersey separately from their registration fee Youth basketball jerseys will no longer be included in your registration fee Players must purchase their jersey separately either online or in person on specific dates Jersey purchase and pick-up days are TBD and will be emailed to all registered participants There will be multiple days scheduled for players to pick up or purchase jerseys before the season begins All players must have a DGPD youth basketball jersey in order to play The basketball jersey can be worn for future seasons of DGPD Youth Basketball

Girls and boys in grades 3 through 8 can get in the game with our summer league! The league consists of two weeks of practice followed by eight games with an emphasis on game play, participation and fun. Grades are based on the previous 2023-2024 school year. TEAM ASSIGNMENT NOTE New teams are created each season according to the following criteria: 1. School attended 2. Grade 3. Mutual Friend Request* 4. Balance of Gender 5. Roster Size *A non-mutual friend request or coach request will not be guaranteed. In general, our goal is to keep players from the same school on the same team. Should enrollment numbers and roster maximums not accommodate this practice, schools may be combined to form teams. Team maximums are based on enrollment numbers at the time of the registration deadline. Leagues may be combined or split by gender depending on enrollment numbers at the registration deadline. REGISTRATION INFORMATION Registration Begins: March 18 Registration Deadline: May 13 Each season new teams are formed and grouped as specified below. Returning players are not guaranteed the same team from season to season. Leagues may be combined or split by gender depending on enrollment numbers at the registration deadline. Registrations beginning May 13 will be placed on a waitlist while teams are formed with registered participants. If we are able to accommodate your child once teams are formed, you will be contacted. A $5 Service Fee is assessed for each refund request. No refunds will be given for requests received on or after June 19.

PRACTICE & GAME INFORMATION Practices Begin: Week of June 5 Games Begin: June 19

Teams will practice the first two Wednesday evenings, then will play a game each Wednesday evening for the remaining weeks of the season. All practices and games are held at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road between the hours of 6:30 to 9:30pm
