GLITZYGIRLZ: PARENT/ CHILD: MAKINGMEMORIES FORMOMNIGHT Join Glitzy Girlz on a date for some special memories for mom! Whether it’s an adult coming with a child to make gifts for Mother’s Day or moms spending an evening with their special children in the month of May, it’s a moms’ celebration! Each couple will make three surprises: ceramic, wooden and a beaded item with mom accents and charms. A special gift wrapping/bags station will conceal any surprises to take home and save for Mother’s Day. This class is always a cherished time every May! This class will take place at Fred C Hohnke Community Center located at 2600 Center Dr., Woodridge. Age: 3-11 R/NR: $36/$54 Location: Woodridge Park District Instructor: Glitzy Girlz Class # Date Day Time 2270L22-01 5/2 TH 6:00-7:00pm Join Glitzy Girlz for a night of spreading love and happiness with our staff! We will give each participant a pampering of glam with a hairdo, make-up sparkle and nail polish application. Decorate a unique craft with peace, hearts and rainbow accents along with paints and personalization. Each person will also design a beaded bracelet with peace-love charm. The night ends with a retro lights dance party to popular songs! A “peace offering” goes home with each guest. Sign up with friends! WILDERNESSMEDICINE Students will explore some of the dangers in the wild such as bug bites, snake bites, and poisonous plants. These future emergency medics will learn how to splint a broken leg, tie a tourniquet, filter dirty water, the effects of hypothermia and 20 ways to use a bandana in emergencies. LITTLEVETERINARIAN SCHOOL - HORSE

Students will adopt and name their plush horse and learn the anatomy and maintenance of a horse. They will also learn basic horse nutrition, riding styles, gaits and role-play the basic key responsibilities of an equine veterinarian. LITTLEVETERINARIAN SCHOOL - DOG II

Students will role-play the key staff functions performed at a veterinary office and how to keep their “adopted” plush puppy healthy. These future veterinarians will explore digestion, the different parts of the canine eye, animal body language and how X-rays are used to diagnose and treat common illnesses. No class March 26.
