FAMILYPOTTERY Families of all shapes and sizes are invited to explore the world of clay! Learn basic hand building techniques while creating fun ceramic pieces as a family. Please note: attendance at each class is important for ensuring you finish all projects. The final day of class is only for project pick-up. Working with clay can get messy, so please dress accordingly! Fee is per person; please register each family member attending. Earth WEEK VOLUNTEER DAY Celebrate Earth Week with the Downers Grove Park District and beautify your local parks for spring! Volunteers will help prepare the parks for the season by mulching trees, picking up sticks and debris, and by removing trash at each location. Gloves, tools and staff assistance will be provided. Please dress for the weather and to get messy. All volunteers will receive light snacks and an oak seedling to plant at home. Individuals, organizations or volunteer groups are invited to lend a hand! A signup form will be available at dgparks.org beginning April 1. ADULTPOTTERY: HAND-BUILDING

Learn hand-building techniques such as using molds, coils and slabs to create one-of-a-kind projects, then decorate your work by experimenting with stamps, cookie cutters and glazing techniques! Each session will complete different projects. All supplies are included, and projects will be glazed and kiln-fired. Please note: attendance at each class is important for ensuring you finish all projects. Separate project pickup days will be announced during class.
