CAMPFIRE COOKING Looking for a fun way to eat out with your family? Join us each month for our campfire cooking classes! Each class will focus on a different dish. We’ll walk you through ingredients, materials needed for your fire, prep and cooking! This class is open to all ages, but each person needs to sign up so we have enough yummy materials! A registered, paid adult must accompany their child(ren). Please register everyone 5 and older attending. Learn how one of nature’s tastiest treats goes from a tree to your kitchen table. From tree biology and identification, to the rich regional history behind early syrup production, join us for a sweet journey into all things maple! Program will be held indoors and outdoors, so please dress for the weather. All participants must register and all registered children under 16 must be accompanied by a registered, paid adult. FARMTOTABLE: HEIRLOOMGARDENING

Come to the Downers Grove Museum to learn all about heirloom plant varieties and historic farming practices! Try historic herbs and winter greens. Take a turn at using both pre-historic as well as pioneer-style farming equipment and reenact fun springtime traditions to help the season’s first plantings. Program will be held indoors and outdoors, so please dress for the weather. A registered adult must accompany their child(ren). Please register everyone attending. Age: All Min/Max: 5/30 Fee: $16 Location: Downers Grove Museum Campus Class # Date Day Time 2500H31-01 4/27 SA 1:00-2:30pm In this 3-hour class, you learn how to make willow baskets and various other willow-made crafts and decorations for your home and yard! We’ll use locally harvested willow and show different weaving techniques as well as use other natural materials to enhance your baskets and crafts. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Please register everyone attending.
