MOTHER’S DAYWEEKEND ADVENTURE Bring along that special mom in your life on a fun-filled adventure on the trails of Lyman Woods. Your journey begins at the nature center where you check in to receive a map that will take you deep into the preserve on a self- guide exploration to uncover clues, complete challenges and make memories with the whole family. Once you’ve completed your adventure, stop by the nature center for a special prize! The adventure is expected to take one hour, but stop in anytime during the morning program window. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register everyone attending. It goes into our creeks and streams! Lyman Woods has some wonderful ephemeral water sources that you can only see with a guided tour! Walk with us in our secret creek- we will wear waders so you can stay safe and dry! Fee is per person, so please make sure to register everyone who will be attending. A registered adult must accompany their child(ren) during this program. Butterfly numbers, especially monarch butterflies, have drastically declined in numbers. Learn how to grow some fun plants that are beautiful and attract butterflies to your yard! Let us bring the wildlife to you! Join us in your neighborhood park to enjoy fun stories, interactive games, and meet a featured animal from our nature center! Rascal Raccoon, our cheerful Lyman Woods friend, will lead the story-time and activities while you eat a seasonal treat and learn about local wildlife at the same time! Park location and times change program to program, so please look carefully at locations and times listed below. Please register everyone attending. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Join us for this fun fishing class! You’ll learn about the parts of the pole, how to safely cast, bait, and reel in a rod, and hopefully catch some fish in the process! Bait and fishing rods will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment. Fee is for child/adult pair. Please register each child attending. An adult must accompany their child(ren).
