MOTHER’S DAYPAR-TEA NEW! Join us at the museum to celebrate Mother’s Day for an afternoon of togetherness as you sip tea and enjoy a sweet treat and more! Mothers and Daughters of all ages welcome! Price is per daughter for her and one accompanied “mother.”

Join the Museum Staff for a one-hour walking tour of Downers Grove’s oldest and most prominent homes! Learn about the families who lived in the houses and the history of architectural styles ranging from kit homes to mortise-and-tenon Greek Revival-style homes. All parts of the tour may not be ADA accessible. Tour meets at the Downers Grove Museum. All children must be registered and supervised by a registered adult.

In the early 20th century, numerous Downers Grove residents purchased homes straight out of mail-order catalogs! Join the Museum Staff on a leisurely 60-minute narrated walking tour of Sears and other catalog homes that are still standing in Downers Grove. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Program meets at Fishel Park. All participants must be registered as bus space is limited, and all children under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Age: 10+ Min/Max: 6/12 R/NR: $22/$33 Location: Downers Grove Museum Campus Class # Date Day Time 2700G06-01 4/13 SA BLODGETTHOMESTEAD ARCHITECTURETOUR NEW! Take a tour of the newly restored 1846 Blodgett House as well the 1892 Charles and Emma Blodgett House as we explore the lives of the Blodgett family. We will take a deeper look at the homes that sheltered them through several generations. Please register everyone attending.
