For Adults SILVER MAPLES: ACTIVE ADULTS IN NATURE Come join us at Lyman Woods for an evening to strengthen your body and sharpen your mind! Each session of this peaceful program for active adults (ages 55+) will incorporate different nature-themed topics to inspire outdoor exploration and appreciation for nature and the benefits it provides. Nature Bingo: Instead of using traditional bingo balls, Nature bingo will use natural and animal artifacts drawn from our mystery bag for you to match to your cards. Prizes and treats will be awarded to Bingo game winners and may include Lyman Woods’ honey. Butterfly & Pollinator Garden How To: In the gardening program we will highlight various plants that are magnets for butterflies and other helpful pollinators such as hummingbirds and moths. We'll show you how to start some of these plants from seed, how to transplant starter plant plugs, garden maintenance and special tips and tricks to attract butterflies and keep them coming back year after year. Nature Painting: Blend traditional landscape and animal painting techniques with the use of special brushes made from natural materials, as well as creative methods for making painted prints and dimensional textures that add depth to your work.
