SIP, SIP HOORAY! HISTORIC COCKTAIL TASTING AT BELMONT Spanning five decades of popular cocktails you may not have heard of from the 1860s to 1900s. During this program you will learn how to make and taste of each of these pieces of history. Snacks will accompany the beverages. Each drink will be accompanied by fun facts about the drink and the time period of its popularity. Join the museum staff for a 1.5-hour walking tour of Downers Grove’s oldest and most prominent churches! Explore the unique history and architecture of some of Downers Grove’s oldest structures. BLODGETT HOMESTEAD ARCHITECTURE TOUR Take a tour of the Israel Blodgett Family’s historic homestead as we explore the lives of the Blodgetts as well as take a deeper look at the homes that sheltered them through several generations.

Onsite GROUP PROGRAMS Bring your group to the Downers Grove Museum! Programs and tours are 1 hour in length and can be tailored for adult and kid groups. Group TOURS During your guided tour, you’ll visit the foot print of the Blodgett family cabin, discuss the 1850s, visit the Pioneer Blodgett House, and learn about the 1890s inside of the Victorian Blodgett House.
