TWILIGHT TREKKERS Hang out with your friends at Lyman Woods after hours! We’ll have a fun campfire dinner with s’mores, explore the nighttime woods, do some scavenger hunts, play nature inspired games, do geocaching and focus each night on a special featured environmental topic or activity. Love Pokémon? Then come out to Lyman Woods to help find Pokémon creatures big and small using skills, and clues. You’ll complete various challenges inspired by Pokémon special powers to track down dozens of Pokémon hidden in the woods, and even create your own pocket monster to take home! We’ll even have some time to share, show and trade cards if you want to! This is a youth-only, drop-off program. Join us for a colorful time at Lyman Woods practicing Hapa Zome and learning about colors in nature! Hapa Zome is the Japanese term for tapping leaves or flowers with hammers or stones, pounding their natural pigment into cloth. We’ll warm up our creativity by stomping on berries to explore their natural colors, which we will then follow with a short hike to hunt for flowers and leaves. We’ll then learn about the natural pigmentation in plants and our native plants at Lyman Woods! This is a drop-off, youth-only program. Winter Wonderland A FAMILY ADVENTURE NEW! Bundle up and discover the hidden wonders of winter! Drop in anytime between 10:00am and 2:00pm to play winter games, make crafts and more! Outside, we’ll have a variety of activities: a self-guided hike, an evergreen maze, animal meet & greets, snowshoes (weather permitting) and imitation sleigh rides. Inside the Interpretive Center, we have ice-carving, shaved ice, some winter carnival games and of course special yummy treats. Children under the age of 2 do not need to register. An adult must accompany their child(ren) during this program. Fee is per person.
