Cookies, Cocoa & Crafts Grab your favorite blanket, throw on your PJs, and join us at the Lincoln Center to celebrate winter! Enjoy an indoor snowball fight, delight in some cookies and hot cocoa, and play some fun winter games. All children must register. An adult must accompany their child during the event.

Bundle up and discover the hidden wonders of winter! Drop in anytime between 10:00am and 2:00pm to play winter games, make crafts and more! Outside, we’ll have a variety of activities: a self-guided hike, ice-carving, snowshoes (weather permitting) and imitation sleigh rides. Inside the Interpretive Center, enjoy animal meet and greets, shaved ice, arts and crafts, and of course special yummy treats. Children under the age of 2 do not need to register. An adult must accompany their child(ren) during this program. Fee is per person; please register everyone attending. Come to the Downers Grove Museum to discover how maple syrup gets made! Learn how one of nature’s tastiest treats goes from a tree to your kitchen table. From tree biology and identification, to the rich regional history behind early syrup production, join us for a sweet journey into all things maple! Program will be held indoors and outdoors, so please dress for the weather. All participants must register and all registered children under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Bunny Hop Egg Hunt Hop on over to the Cathy Mahoney Recreation Center! Grab your basket and get ready for our annual egg hunt. Participants will enjoy collecting eggs, visiting with the Easter Bunny, bouncing in inflatables, and creating Easter-themed crafts! An adult must be present to supervise their child(ren). No registration will be taken onsite. Participants with food allergies may be exposed to allergens.
