DANCE

Recital Classes Ballet: The foundation to all dance styles. Progress is made gradually requiring repetition of basics at barre and center with an introduction of new steps to develop flexibility, strength, correct body alignment, technique and musicality at all levels. Jazz: A type of dance shared by a broad range of dance styles. Traditional, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre and pop styles of dance are all incorporated into our jazz program. Jazz dance is an upbeat, dynamic and challenging class for all ages. Poms: Pom dance is a high-energy style combining jazz, hip hop, and cheer moves using pom-poms to enhance sharp motions, team spirit, and visual impact through synchronized leaps, kicks and spins.

Modern / Contemporary: Grounded in the Modern technique of Lester Horton, dancers will be guided to see the multitude of connections between Horton and other dance techniques. Hip Hop: A fast-paced, energetic style that focuses on rhythm, musicality, and personal expression. Dancers learn age-appropriate choreography inspired by street dance, breaking and commercial moves in a fun, upbeat environment. Tap: This fun and energetic class is perfect for those looking to make some noise! Students will learn the fundamentals of tap technique, including basic steps, rhythms and terminology. The focus will be on building coordination, musicality, and confidence through simple combinations and upbeat music. Ballet/Tap Combo: An upbeat introduction to both ballet and tap! Dancers learn graceful ballet movements and lively tap rhythms while building coordination, balance, and musicality—all in one fun and interactive class.
