FITNESS FOR PICKLEBALL The goal of this class is to develop the basics to improve strength, endurance and agility on the court to become an overall better pickleball player. As we work on our overall fitness, we will also incorporate pickleball skills and play to apply our training in a fun and active way. We will also focus on boosting your flexibility and balance to prevent the most common injuries in pickleball. Please note: this is a fitness and skill class designed to enhance, balance, agility and improve skill level for pickleball, and is not an instructional only class or pickleball lessons. Please bring a paddle to class if you have one. If you don’t have a paddle, we will do our best to provide one (subject to availability). 4500 Fitness Members who hold an active membership will receive a discounted fee when added to the cart. Experience a posture change by re-hydrating and lengthening techniques done with the MELT moves. Core pilates moves will be learned along with reintegrating and re-patterning exercises to assist the body in functioning properly. TAI CHI Tai Chi is a low-impact, slow-motion moving meditation that doesn’t put any pressure on the joints. It’s scientifically proven that regular Tai Chi practice can help to improve balance, coordination and prevent falls and health problems in older adults. It is not only for older adults, anyone can benefit from this practice. Tai Chi is the fastest-growing practices worldwide and serves as therapeutic exercise for many chronic health conditions. This program will focus on the basics of Tai Chi Form. This is an excellent introduction to Tai Chi, suitable for beginners. We will practice Qigong meditation in the beginning of each class to relax. We will then focus on Tai Chi Form, step by step. This program is not eligible for a Fitness Member rate. Get ready for a gourd time at our Pumpkin Pump Workout! Join us for a fun workout using a pumpkin as your weight-squat, press, and lunge your way to a festive sweat!
