NEW! Spice up your Easter holiday with beautiful and bold, all-natural egg dyes! We’ll provide decorations, dyes, and several hard-boiled eggs for each person to color using fun and vibrant plant-based dyes found in the wild and even your kitchen cupboard. Staff will guide you through the process as they share some fun facts and games about the dyes, as well as eggstraordinary information about eggs and egg-laying critters found in nature. While supplies will be provided, please feel free to bring extra hard-boiled eggs from home for dyeing! Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Please register everyone attending. Enhance your plant identification skills, and find new ways to enjoy the winter landscape in this in depth class on identifying trees by using stems, bark and other indicators. We’ll do an overview of skills indoors, but then head out on the trail to test out your budding skills in real life. Please register everyone attending. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Let us bring the wildlife to you! Join us in your neighborhood park to enjoy fun stories, interactive games, and meet a featured animal from our nature center! Rascal Raccoon, our cheerful Lyman Woods friend, will lead the story-time and activities while you eat a seasonal treat and learn about local wildlife at the same time! Park location and times change program to program, so please look carefully at locations and times listed below. Please register everyone attending. Love slime, mud and other grimy things in nature? Then join us as we explore fun bugs living under logs, meet our resident salamander, dissect an owl pellet, make slime, and play with water and mud from our creeks as we explore all that is icky and squishy in the great outdoors. This is a youth-only, drop-off program.
