Fitness for Pickleball Workshop

NeuroFIT Increasing amount of research seems to be finding that exercise may be particularly helpful for people with neurological conditions, with benefits seen in movement, balance, and even cognition. The focus of this exercise class is to improve mobility of individuals with Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. This class is led by a Parkinson’s fitness specialist and provides safe strengthening exercises with an emphasis on postural awareness, breathing, balance, and rhythmical movement. These exercises will focus on moving safely while seated or standing, and we will use a variety of equipment including light weights and bands to increase strength and range of motion. 4500 Fitness Members who hold an active membership will receive a discounted fee when added to the cart. It’s scientifically proven that regular Tai Chi practice can help to improve balance, coordination and prevent falls and health problems in older adults. But it’s not only for elderly, everyone can benefit from this practice. Tai Chi is the most growing practice around the world and is therapeutic exercise for many chronic health conditions. This 6-week program will begin with the basics of Tai Chi Form. This is an excellent introduction to Tai Chi, suitable for beginners. We will practice Qigong meditation in the beginning of each class to relax. We will then focus on Tai Chi Form, step by step. No class April 1. This program is not eligible for a Fitness Member rate.

This workshop offers an overview of basic fitness and pickleball skills to boost strength, endurance, agility, flexibility and balance—helping you become a better player while reducing the risk of common injuries. We’ll combine fitness training with skill drills and play for a fun, active workout. Please bring a paddle.
